Kelowna Clay Festival 2008

The fourth triennial Kelowna clay festival featured presenting artists from Great Britain, the United States and Canada. These master potters covered a variety of topics including throwing and alteration, sectional throwing and assembly, sculpture, surface decoration and image transfers. The next clay festival is scheduled for 2011.

With a membership drawn from throughout the Okanagan Valley in southern British Columbia, Canada, our association forms an active part of the local arts community. Our mission is to promote, protect and educate the potters of the Okanagan. To this end, we sponsor a number of shows and educational events. Our triennial Kelowna Clay Festival offers workshops given by potters of international renown and draws participants from throughout Canada and the United States.

Located in the cultural district of Kelowna, British Columbia, the RCA houses several artists, artisans and their studios, dance studios and a theatre. Resident artists offer classes and most have a retail shop. Summer programs for children and youths are also offered. RCA is also the home of many cultural events such as the Triennial Kelowna Clay Festival.
